Will make AP a top IT hub: Naidu

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hopes to see successor state of Andhra Pradesh as an IT hub soon. The Chief Minister on Friday inaugurated eight IT companies at IT Service Tech Park at Autonagar in Vijayawada on Friday.

Addressing a gathering, the Chief Minister said that nine IT companies started functioning in Visakhapatnam and 20 IT companies are ready to start their operations in Vijayawada.

He said eight IT companies started in Vijayawada under APNRT provide training and jobs to candidates. He invited IT professionals of this region working abroad to set up their companies here.

The Chief Minister said internet, TV and phone facility would be provided to all houses in the state through Fibre Grid.

He said ten lakh set-top boxes were ready so far. The grid would facilitate video conferencing facility. He said the state government is ahead in e-governance, e-Technology and all the services would be made online soon.

Naidu said hardware technology would be developed at a cost of Rs 200 crore in the NTR complex in Vijayawada in June. He said priority would be given to software companies in Amaravati by providing better facilities than that in Hyderabad and Bangalore.

He said the 8 IT companies started now would provide employment opportunities to 650 candidates. He said Amaravati would be developed as a knowledge hub. New technology would be promoted along with IT companies, he added.

Later the Chief Minister launched a website developed by APNRT—www.itcentral.in.Earlier, participating in the programme Minister for Information and Public Relations Palle Raghunatha Reddy predicted that the IT sector would witness rapid growth in AP under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu.

The eight IT companies set up at the Indwell  IT park include Edbricks, Adept Talent, Vintech, PayTM, Advance Soft, Accel IT, Jolt, Damian Consulting and MSR Cosmos. These companies are dealing in IT consultancy, projects and products.

“Recreation of an ideal IT ecosystem requires the right balance of students, training institutes and IT companies. Andhra Pradesh has all these ingredients and a visionary Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, with a proven track record, who can blend these vital ingredients together.
